I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas. Upon graduating, I traveled around Kansas and Missouri teaching STEM lessons to K-8 learners as an educational outreach assistant for the Center for Remote Sensing of Ice Sheets at the University of Kansas. During this time, I met my husband and relocated to Fort Leavenworth where he was stationed. I began working as a behavior technician for Trumpet Behavioral Health where I served military children with autism and other developmental disabilities. It was my work there that encouraged me to complete my Masters in Special Education at the University of Kansas. This is my third year as a kindergarten teacher in USD 207.
