Welcome to sixth grade! I am very excited to be your child's teacher this year. I am blessed to be a part of the USD 207 education family. My mission is to motivate, inspire, and support students by providing a safe and loving environment to educate students socially, emotionally, and cognitively so they can continue to build a foundation for life-long learners.
This is my eighth year at Eisenhower. I was an instructional assistant for six years when I finally had the confidence, time, and strength to go back to school and pursue my teaching degree. I graduated from the University of South Florida with a B.A in Business Administration in 1995 and my Teaching Licensure is from Western Governors University.
Like many of you, my family is a military family. My husband retired after 30 years of service to include, the Army National Guard and the US Army. We have two sons, one at Patton and one starting his Freshmen year at Leavenworth High School.
I want you to know that as a parent, I have an appreciation for the challenges that our military children face daily, and I will do my best to make sure they feel safe, and loved when they come into my classroom.
Again, welcome to sixth grade, this will be the best year yet!
